Course
This course covers the Swedish massage sequences that
combine to give a total body relaxation massage. It
also covers the importance of touch, encouraging the
student to feel with their hands for the various states
that may exist in the body’s muscles and tissues.

and the cause of tension
- Anatomy and physiology (part one) covering
- anatomical terms and orientations

THE EMPHASIS IN TEACHING
The emphasis in class will be placed on
- Developing your confidence
- You feeling comfortable and competent
with what
- you are doing in massage
- Helping you to develop your intuitive
and holistic attitude
- Mastering the correct hands-on methods
- Understanding the implications of massage
in areas such as the physical, emotional, psychological,
intellectual and spiritual levels of the client.
- Personal supervision and support
- Individual instruction
- Experience in giving and receiving a massage.
- A relaxed and enjoyable learning atmosphere.
Classes are usually held on six Saturdays and twelve
Wednesday nights totaling eighty two hours of study
time. Two assessment days are also included. These assessment
days are compulsory.
Myofacial Release Course
The Myofascial Release course is designed to provide
you with additional skills that will allow you to greatly
enhance your current practices. This is a hands on course
teaching you a step by step approach for the treatment
of body dysfunction and pain.
In this course covers techniques which address pelvic
problems cervical pain, restriction of movement, carpel
tunnel, recurring injuries, headaches, whiplash, back
and leg pain and much more.
This module covers
- myofascial release techniques
- functions of muscles
- body scanning
- how to assess body posture
- how to work holistically working from
all four levels
- physical
- mental
- emotional and
- spiritual
- teaching your clients to become responsible
for their own healing.
The course will be held on some Saturdays and Wednesday
evenings between over four months. The duration of the
course is approximately 40 hours of study plus at least
30 hours of documented practice. A diary of practice
conducted outside of class hours is to be maintained
by course participants.
